      Materials and Fabrics: Soft Circuit

Currently, I am learning to knit. One of the most important things I learned in this class is the unreliability of this technology, such as conductive fabrics and threads. I learned a lot from Joey Berzowska's processes in exploring different techniques, like weaves, to make circuits more reliable. I want to weave and knit some soft circuits/soft switches. Next semester, I plan on making a "Security Blanket" for kids. I felt deterred in making this project for this class, since a blanket is not a "wearable" object, nor does it engage in personal expression. I guess I'm really interested in the materials and the technology, and making objects more reliable, interactive and functional.
