Street Stories
Mission Statement: www.streetstory.org hopes to capture and share the stories, voices and spirits of urban streets by using mobile phones and telephony technology. The first version of streetstory.org will share the stories of one character from different places around New York City taking listeners back in time to share this person's experience. The second version will allow users to create their street stories using a web-based location.
Inspiration:
New York: Then and Now presents a visual and historical perspective of Manhattan's scenes. Similarly, we want to reappropriate audio stories that users can access with a cellphone throughout Manhattan.
